Hamster on the run!
Hammy the class four
hamster from Salt Edge Primary escaped from his cage over the half term break. Our
news correspondent went to speak to the teacher, Patsy Jones, at the scene of
the event “I am very sad as Hammy always had a big place in my heart. The children
are absolutely mortified. Personally I blame the caretaker because I gave him strict
instructions to make sure he locked the cage and when I got back the door was
wide open!” she said. We also spoke to a student from class 4. Unfortunately we
cannot give away their identity due to the safeguarding policy’s of the school.”
I can’t believe it, why would he run away? Why would he leave us all alone?” he
went on crying and this shows that the class obviously misses Hammy lots. Our child
psychology expert said “Having a pet teaches the child to have independence and
responsibility” but on the other hand Christopher Jenkins, animal rights campaigner
said “keeping a poor defenceless creature locked up in a cage is disgusting and
should be made illegal” he thinks very strongly against pets and is campaigning
for them to be made illegal. The children of Salt Edge Primary have sent out an
appeal for Hammy and if anyone sees a lost hamster wandering the streets please
contact us on 0151-693-9023 thank you for your co-operation.
